Meet the Founder

Brittney Fewell, M.ED.

Hello!

I’m the founder of The Parent-Teacher Connection LLC, and education has always been a central part of my life. I was raised in a family of educators and went on to build an 11-year career in education as a certified teacher and serving as the Dean of Students at a K–8 school. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and later completed a master’s degree in educational administration from Concordia University. For the past four years, I have also worked closely with parents of children with high mental health needs, helping families navigate challenging situations, communicate effectively, and better understand the support available to their children. As a proud wife and mother of two active, caring children, I understand firsthand how important it is for parents to feel informed, heard, and supported throughout their child’s educational journey. Outside of work, I enjoy watching football, staying active at my boot camp-style gym, and going to church. Through The Parent-Teacher Connection, my goal is to combine my professional experience and perspective as a parent to help families build stronger, more confident partnerships with their child’s school.

The Parent-Teacher Connection LLC is an educational advising service designed to help parents feel more informed, prepared, and confident when navigating their child’s school experience. We provide targeted support to help families communicate effectively with teachers, understand educational terminology and school documents, and develop clear action plans based on their child’s individual needs.

Parents can receive guidance before and after parent-teacher conferences, including help identifying important questions to ask, understanding academic or assessment data, and determining appropriate next steps. When a child is struggling, we can also help families better understand the process for requesting additional school support, including what 504 Plans and IEPs are, how the process typically works, and the types of needs that may qualify a student for these services.

Our goal is to strengthen the relationship between home and school by helping parents advocate for their child with greater clarity and confidence while keeping the student’s best interests at the center of every conversation.

Philosophy

“When you learn, teach, when you get, give.” -Maya Angelou

I believe knowledge becomes most powerful when it is shared. By helping parents better understand their child’s education, we empower them to ask informed questions, communicate confidently with schools, and use what they learn to better support their child’s success.
